Introduction
The word student in hindi is said as "Vidyarthi" which is made up of a combination of two words - Vidya + Artha. Which means aspiring for learning. The goal of early life is to attain learning, it is called the golden period of life.
Qualities of an ideal student
Just as the artisan employed in building a strong building carefully builds the foundation, similarly for the strong construction of a human life building, it is absolutely necessary to organize the student life. This period, which was blissfully sparkling in simple, noiseless, enthusiastic optimistic waves, determines its future. At this stage, physical, mental and intellectual powers develop. Life goals are determined by education.
A successful student adopts social, religious, moral rules, ideals and rituals during this period, but nowadays there is no Gurukulshiksha system. Today's student studies in schools. Today, gurus lack rigorous discipline. Today education is linked to wealth. The student realizes that he is acquiring knowledge by giving money.
There is a lack of respect for gurus in it. Also, there has been a lack of hard working, dutiful teachers. Moral values have no place in education. Its purpose is only to pass the exam. It is for this reason that today's student is undisciplined, fashion obsessed, resonant with Western civilization, and away from Indian culture.
That is, the student should be conscious and inquisitive like a crow. The student should concentrate in the study like a heron. He should be aware while sleeping like a dog. For this, they should avoid malpractices and strive to achieve the goal of student life by abandoning laziness.
Conclusion
The current education system is also responsible for the plight of today's students. Therefore, a change in it is necessary. Therefore, qualities like modesty, restraint, obedience should be developed in the students. The student himself should also strive for the development of these qualities. Therefore, it is the responsibility of academics to make the future generations of the country good people and make them enlightened and duty-bound citizens.
