Cleanliness is very important for our life, it is an item that influences all the successes in our life. To be clean means to keep yourself physically and mentally clean.

Keeping your body clean, hygienic and properly prepared. Works to instil confidence and positive thoughts in us. Along with being well-groomed, the habit of cleanliness makes a good impression on others and it also serves to enhance our good reputation in the society as cleanliness also reflects the clean character of a person.

    Why is cleanliness important?

It is believed that people who maintain the habit of cleanliness and develop the habit of being well-groomed, have a clean character and are usually pious and God-fearing. Such people have certain morality and clear heart in their life by being religious. We can say that Bhakti starts with a clean heart and a person with a clean heart can be a person of good character. This is the reason why priests of any religion ask to clean the body and mind before worship. Cleanliness is the first and foremost thing to be close to God.

On the other hand, being clean strengthens our immune system and protects us from many serious and serious diseases. Nevertheless, clean people can get sick from contact with dirty people, but they are strong enough to face small problems. They manage things around them related to cleanliness, including giving instructions about cleanliness to poor and dirty people.

    Physical hygiene to Internal Hygiene

People with proper hygiene feel ashamed to meet people with dirty faces, hands, dirty clothes and bad smelling clothes, as they feel insulted by meeting such people. Body hygiene is indeed very important for good physical health. On the other hand, physical hygiene provides internal hygiene and keeps the heart and mind clean. Cleanliness of mind keeps us mentally clean and protects us from mental troubles. Therefore, complete cleanliness keeps us away from dirt and diseases, because these two (dirt and diseases) run together because there will be diseases where there is dirt.

    Cleanliness: Within and Around us

Mahatma Gandhi used to put a lot of emphasis on cleanliness and he loved cleanliness. He believed that cleanliness is the responsibility played by each person on their own and through collective support. It was the duty of every person in his ashrams not only to keep himself clean but also to try to keep his body, soul, mind and heart clean as well as his residence and ashram complexes.

But while cleaning himself and the ashram complexes, he also had to ensure that no mess and garbage were left outside the ashram. Bapu considered cleanliness to be the equivalent of devotion. Mahatma Gandhi never compromised on cleanliness. He worked for the freedom of our country, so it becomes our duty to make his dream of clean India come true.

    The Conclusion

There are many types of germs that cause disease and are caused by dirt, which spreads the infection rapidly. Due to which many serious diseases like cholera and plague can occur. Therefore, to live a healthy, happy and peaceful life, all of us should develop the habit of cleanliness in every aspect of life because dirt is a form of moral evil, whereas cleanliness is a symbol of moral purity.
